Dr S Firoozmand

Dr Shahram Firoozmand qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1974. He has been in general dental practice for over 30 years with practices in Scotland and Iceland before moving to Peterborough in 1985.

He has been in practice in Peterborough for over 23 years.

Dr S Firoozmand passionately believes that each human being is unique and deserves the best. In November 2007, Dr. S. Firoozmand and his partner opened SF DENTAL PRACTICE – Peterborough - a unique environment and atmosphere where high quality dentistry and patient care is paramount.

Dr S Firoozmand has invested in the latest technologies and materials to beautify the smile and to preserve teeth without necessarily resorting to injections and drilling.

His extensive experience in general dental practice has led him to have a special interest in cosmetic dentistry using Lumineers, which can dramatically and permanently improve the smile of patients without the need for drilling sensitive tooth structure or injections.

Dr S Firoozmand also specialises in minimal invasive dentistry, which preserves teeth from being drilled and filled by the early detection of decay using the latest laser technology.

Dr S Firoozmand is one of the few dentists in Cambridgeshire who uses the Healozone equipment, which can be used as a means to prevent children ever-developing decay in their teeth. This treatment is so innovative it can be easily and safely used in children as young as two.

He has travelled the world extensively on social and developmental projects and was part of a medical delegation to Rumania to investigate how dentistry could be improved in their country.

He was also invited on several occasions by the Israeli authorities to go to Israel to treat many refugee children from around the world.

He is a member of SACRE for Peterborough, member of the International Baha’I Community, and member of the European Bahá'í Business Forum(EBBF) a nongovernmental organization that attracts a community of people passionate about bringing ethical values, personal virtues and moral leadership into their workplaces.

His interests are marine photography and astronomy; he has a great sense of humour and enjoys skiing and gliding.

He is married and has three young children.
