1. Stress

2. An overbite

3. Malfunction of the nervous system

What are the effects of Bruxism?

Teeth grinding and clenching can permanently damage your teeth as the enamel is worn away. It can also lead to other problems such as headaches, sore facial muscles, damage to the inside of the cheek and disorder of the TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint). In more severe cases teeth grinding can even loosen teeth.

How can I stop grinding my teeth?

Many treatments have been proposed to reduce or stop teeth grinding but by far the best solution is the wearing of a nightguard. Wearing a Nightguard can prevent continued damage to your teeth.

Nightguards are custom made to fit your mouth and therefore prevent night time teeth grinding.

As a result of being a perfect fit, they’re comfortable and allow you to breathe properly while you are asleep.

Depending upon your preference we are able to make a Nightguard for either your upper or lower teeth. This impression system can be used for either your upper or lower teeth as the same instructions are applicable to both.

Your completed Nightguard will then be returned to you in an Anti-microbial case.
